Alpine and Nordic Skiers Conclude Their Seasons

The Alpine and Nordic skiers concluded their seasons with outstanding results at the Minnesota State High School League State Championships held this week at Giant’s Ridge

Alpine Ski Results

Eleanor Goodnow and Will Kirkpatrick, both from Southwest, finished in eleventh place and earned All State Honors.  Seth Koepcke from South skied well to finish 45th overall (out of 88).  Other State participants were Isabel Berg from Washburn who finished 60^th and Ramsey Middle School eighth grader Logan Griggs.  This is the first year the school district has sponsored Alpine Ski and we had over 70 participants; Congratulations to Head Coach Mark Conway, his staff of assistant coaches and all of these Minneapolis Public School students!

Nordic Ski  Results

In the boys’ races, Xavier Mansfield from Patrick Henry finished in sixth place and earned All State Honors.  Andrew Sell from Washburn and JoJo Baldus from South finished in 51^st and 82^nd place.  The Southwest team of: William Kerker, Colan Olsen, Adai Sinkler, Torsten Berinkema, Joey Doyle, Noah Rothman and Avinash Patel finished in 9^th place.

In the girls’ races, Skylar Tupper from Washburn finished in 44^th place, Daisy Richmond from Southwest finished in 51^st place and Lily Richmond from Anthony Middle School finished in 54^th place
