American Mathematics Competition Exam

The Southwest high school math team hosted the AMC Exam, which is the first round of a national mathematics competition, on February 3. I'm happy to report that 56 students participated. Two of our students earned scores high enough to qualify them for the American Invitational Mathematics Exam, which is essentially the secondround of the competition - congratulations to Nathaniel Larson and Russell Pekala.

Southwest will host an alternate testing date for the AMC exam on February 25 for students who were unable to participateearlier. Interested students should contact David McMayer.
