Audition, Rehearse, Perform, Oh, My! What a fantastic time of year! Sweaters are being pulled out of drawers, leaves are turning beautiful colors, and SWHS students are putting heart and soul into rehearsals for concerts and productions. If you have ever attended a student performance at Southwest, you know how special it is. If this is going to be your first time? Oh, my, you are in for a treat! Check out all the upcoming performances here. The SWHS Performing Arts Council was excited to be part of the Open House Celebration at Southwest on Saturday, October 8th. Board members were on hand to greet visitors, alumni, and future students who toured the remodeled spaces. Everyone enjoyed the music and the spacious new lobby area outside the auditorium decorated with performance posters and even costumes! Many people stopped by to share stories of performances they had been in or seen over the past 60(!) years. We are thankful to the Southwest Foundation for their great support and inviting us to participate in this celebration. We are looking forward to a long future of amazing performances at Southwest! These twin sisters have contributed much choreography over their four years at SWHS. They also started a women's dance group called "S.H.E." that is nominated for a Sage award. Congratulations!
