Tuesday Oct. 18 - Stand in Orange Opposed to Bullying

On Tuesday, October 18th, let us all wear the color orange and encourage our students to wear orange clothing.  Orange represents a stand against bullying-united for kindness, acceptance and inclusion.

“Orange provides a powerful, visually compelling expression of solidarity,” said Paula Goldberg, Executive Director of PACER Center.  “When hundreds of individuals in a school wear orange, the vibrant statement becomes a conversation starter becomes a conversation starter, sending the unified message to kids to know that they are not alone.”

Student Council will be creating a Unity Banner asking students to sign and define what unity means to them.  The banner will be hung near the lunch room.

Looking forward to seeing a “sea of orange” on Tuesday.
