Minneapolis Step-Up Applications Due February 5.

As we near the end of the first semester, we are also quickly approaching the deadline to apply for a STEP-UP summer internship.  These internships are challenging opportunities for Minneapolis students to learn more advanced skills, get professional experience, and build networks for future careers. 

These are not typical work opportunities; rather, students are placed in paid, professional jobs with the top employers in the Twin Cities. Southwest students have worked at HCMC, Minneapolis Parks, US Bank, the Animal Humane Society, and the Mayor’s office to name a few. Students are matched with the company that best fits their skills, interests, and availability. 

STEP-UP internships allow students to explore career areas of interest and can be included on college and scholarship applications. 

Applying now does not commit students to participate, but it does allow them the opportunity. 

Applications are NOT accepted beyond the February 5, 2016, deadline. Students are strongly encouraged to apply. Applications can be found on the city’s website.
