The Speech Season kicked
off this weekend at the Eden Prairie tournament. I will gracefully dodge the
topic of results, but instead focus on the fact that our team is incredibly
diverse (far more than any other team at the tournaments) and are largely new to
Speech and to many extra-curricular activities.
I am enormously proud of this
and the scholars that brave, what is considered the most terrifying feat (even
eclipsing death related exploits) that can be faced by mere mortals, the act of
speaking in front of people.
The team did so with grace and an amazing positive
attitude considering we were up against some of the best teams in the state.
