Southwest Green Team

The Southwest Green Team enjoyed a presentation by Michael Martin (Maisy's dad) about his promotion of "Green Capitalism" and "Green Music Venues".  Michael coordinates a number of national bands (like U2) and companies (like Toyota) to make their music/business policies environmentally sound.

               AND... after the presentation the attending 44 members of the Green Team learned how to can applesauce which will be donated, with sandwiches, to the Simpson Housing Shelter next month.

               AND... today we had fun at lunch with our Garbage Games and will be doing it again tomorrow to promote sorting our garbage/waste into the appropriate recycling, composting and trash cans.

               AND... the Green Team just won a $750 grant to promote educating children about alternative energy production and reducing our reliance on coal-fired electricity plant.
