The Southwest Debate team's seasion win percentage including all divisions and teams is .549 average.
Albeit late, here are the results from our Stillwater tournament:
Out of 51 teams in the novice division: Not a single Southwest novice team had a losing record!
9th place: Madhav Singh and Billie Forester 3-1
10th place: Olivia Custis and Weston Lowry 3-1. Weston also earned 4th place speaker points!
11th place: Fiona Edwardson and Alison Rosengren 3-1
18th place: Kate Malone and Morgan Schoenecker 2-2. Kate also earned the 5th highest speaker points!
28th place: Mia laselaris-Custis and Natalie Mackey 2-2
30th place: Cole Graber-Mitchell and Georgia Pharris 2-2 (This was their first debate tournament too)
In the JV division Rewan Abdelwahab and Holden Platt earned 3rd place! Not to mention they earned 4th and 5th speaker points as well.
Varsity: Russell Pekala and Henry Aoki went 2-2. They only have five losses for the first half of our season.
We now go into the second topic of the season. Resolved, The Obama Administration’s efforts to combat terrorism have improved global security.
