Southwest Theater and Arts Asking For Your Support

Hi Friends Of Southwest Theatre/ Alumni Parents,

This year, for the first time, the parents and boosters of all the performing arts at Southwest have come together to ask for your support. Most of our performing arts students overlap, whether it is dance, music or theatre, so, in order to clear donor confusion, we have come together with this fall appeal for your support. Yes, you received a letter a couple weeks ago too, but it may be easier just to make a donation through the link below. And thank you if you have already made a donation! Another way you may "donate" is by coming to the great performances at Southwest, and besides, we would like to see and visit with you anyway!

Hope to see you soon!

Dear Alumni Families,

We hope our alumni families continue to be enriched by music and theatre in their lives. The Performing Arts programs at Southwest High School are thriving. Enrollment is at an all-time high of approximately half the school involved in either music, theatre or dance. It is something we are very proud of at SWHS.

As you know, our teachers run a terrific program and as booster members we seek to help them continue to do so.

Teachers’ salaries are paid for by the school, everything else is paid for by family and alumni contributions, including voice and music lesson scholarships, instruments, choir robes, accompanists, Spring Musical Theatre support, and IB Dance program support. We are seeking financial support for Southwest’s Performing Arts programs and ask those in the greater Southwest community to help support our students’ music, dance and theatre experience. Any amount will be appreciated! Giving is easy - just click http://tinyurl.com/Southwest-Music-Boosters and help us reach our fundraising goal of $60,000!

You could also write a check to the “SWHS Music Boosters” and send it c/o Ellen Butler, Treasurer, 3846 Zenith Ave. So., Mpls. MN. 55410. We are a volunteer-run, 501(c) (3) charitable organization. Your contribution may be tax deductible. Proceeds from either manner of giving will be shared among the performing arts department: music, theater and dance.

Please join us at any one of the performances this fall ~
