The Southwest students are involved in the Jefferson Project (http://www.jeffersonawards.org/ ) at Southwest which recognizes, inspires, and activates volunteering and public service in our communities.

The mission of the Jefferson Awards is to be one of the largest stimulators of volunteer services nationally-with a special emphasis on youth service.

On Saturday, November second, the students cleaned over 60 bikes for Free Bikes 4 Kids (http://fb4k.com/).  These bikes will be repaired and given to kids in need across the Twin Cities.

The next volunteer project serving meals at the St. Stephen’s Street Outreach.
