Southwest Foundation Supporting Excellence in Education - Give to the Max

Give to the Max Day is Thursday! The Southwest Foundation, which supports excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts at Southwest, needs your help to make their challenge grant. A small group of families of Seniors (thank you!) is offering a total of $1,000 if the Southwest Foundation can get 40 new donors for Give to the Max Day. The Foundation’s grants help every student at Southwest and the Foundation is the only group fundraising for academics at Southwest.

They are partnering with the Music Boosters and the Friends of the Theatre on Give to the Max Day to help fund the arts piece of their funding this year—the technical personnel to support all arts performances in the Auditorium. Other things the Foundation has or will be funding for us this year (with your help) include math and science equipment and supplies, field trips, language learning materials, clubs and activities, athletic equipment, Project Success—the list goes on and on. We need these things to give students the education they deserve. It is going to take $110,000 to provide us with these things our budget does not provide—we need every family to help.

Every hour on Give to the Max Day we are eligible for a “golden ticket” from GiveMN: there will be an hourly random drawing that will add $1,000 to an individual donation—so consider giving more than once during the day! Thanks for your support of Southwest and the Foundation and for considering a Give to the Max Day gift.
