Message For 10th and 9th Graders About March 19

Dear Student,

While the juniors are taking the ACT test on Tuesday, March 19, we have designed a day of college and career readiness activities for YOU. These activities, in addition to being graduation requirements, are designed to give you practice in the skills that you will use as you search for colleges, apply for jobs and plan your future.

We will run a modified schedule on this day. College and career readiness activities will take place during hours 1-5. No bells will ring to signal class changes; rather, your teacher will direct you to where you need to be and when. We will hold 6th and 7th hours as usual.

The schedule of the day is planned as follows:
• You will participate in the activities with your English class.
• Your English teacher will let you know prior to Tuesday, March 19, to which room you should report.
• Look for signs posted in your English classroom, in the link and by the front door to remind you of your location on Tuesday, March 19.
• You should report to your assigned room by 8:30 where attendance will be taken.
• Teachers have been selected to assist you through your activities and planning. Despite being participating with your English class, you will likely not be working with your English teacher.
• You will also participate in the course fair, your first step in requesting courses for next year.

We look forward to working with you!
The SW Counselors & CCC Coordinators
