Southwest Community Education Updates

Our Study Buddies tutoring program at Lake Harriet runs every
Thursday, 3:30-5:00 p.m. Transportation home by school bus is available
for participating SWHS students. Study Buddies are eligible to earn
community service hours for NSH< Student Council, IB or for scholarship
recommendations

Our Spring Quarter General Adult Education classes
(""GAE"") classes will start the week of April 8.
There are over 125 classes available for students & adults. This
spring features 20 new classes including a new special event:
""The Tin Chef Contest"" - a cooking contest modeled after
the Iron Chef Contest. You can register

Our annual SW Community Ed. Earth Day Community Clean-up of Lake
Harriet, Lake Calhoun and parts of Minnehaha Creek will take place on Saturday,
April 20th. The Green Team is planning other activities for that week,
and will also be sponsoring environmental workshops after the clean-up. A
free deli-lunch will be provided for all participating helpers. To
