Laresa Avent became the latest semi-finalist from Southwest in the MN Youth Poetry Slam preliminaries at tonight's poetry slam at the Black Dog Cafe in Lowertown. There is one preliminary poetry slam left--next Friday at Juxtaposition Arts, then on to the semi-finals.
