Just seems like we got started and we are nearing the end of first quarter. Now that means something different this year. We have moved to a semester grading system. Only the semester grade will be posted on transcripts. In previous years for a year-long course, a students would have four grades (one each quarter). With a semester grading system for a year-long course, the student will have two grades (one each semester).
We are planning on sending out to families a mid-term grade report. Hopefully with the parent portal and the other means of electronic communication, teacher and families have been talking all along. But we will try to communicate with families via snail mail and other ways to provide information.
The year moves so quickly. We try and tell the kids that every day is important. I have no idea where October went. But I can say that about September as well. The days flash by. Before you know it we will be graduating.
