And the fever increases as the day continues. Both good and bad, the big game is at 7:00 pm. I think if it were here and at 3;30 pm the place would be rocking by now. It is exciting. Southwest has not been known as a football school for many years. Perhaps the golden days were in the 50s. Hockey greatness was in the 70s. The only constant over the years has been the scholarship and academics. So this is the year!
Washburn decided to go for a "white out" so naturally that causes its own FaceBook stir and the SW response is a "black out." Not exactly sure what is wrong with purple but I am not a teen. So you will see that. Never knew that we had to color coordinate football games.
It is exciting. We will make every effort to have fun and enjoy the show. At the same time a little chat about family expectations might be in order. We do attempt to keep the two school separate and on their own sides of the field.
