Search Continues

The search and rescue operation for Nate, Nick, brother Noah and father Luke is ongoing. The family members were in a small plane that lost contact with the Federal Aviation Administration in Wyoming on October 25. We do not have any additional news at this time. The Bucklin family would like to thank our school community for the kind thoughts and wishes.

We are concerned not only for the safe return of the members of the Bucklin family but for the safety and welfare of all our students. We understand that many parents and students would like to show their support and hope for this family in a concrete and meaningful way. One of the best ways for students to do this is to remain in school, where they can both show their support for their friends and continue learning.

Parents and students can send positive messages to the family. They may also send contributions to agencies that provide search and rescue efforts. MPS support staff will continue working with students and staff as needed, as will faith communities in our city. To speak with a member of our support staff, please call 612-668-3030.

If students are concerned about a friend’s safety, we encourage them to speak to a member of our school staff or another trusted adult.

We continue to do all that we can to support our students and families at this time. Please call our main office at 612.668.3030 if your family needs additional assistance.
