Cross Country City Conference Champions!
Both boys and girls cross country Laker team won the City Conference. A great afternoon for a race. With the sun setting over Lake Nokomis, the Laker Cross Country Teams finished the race champions! Southwest Laker runner came in first in both the boys and girls races.
At the same time about 8 miles across town, the Southwest Laker boys soccer team was playing at home in sectional play against Wayzata. Again with the sun setting in the west, the Lakers defeated Wayzata and continue on it's trip to state.
And to cap off the evening, the Fine Arts Festival started at 7 pm in the auditorium. Southwest singers, dance company one, jazz, Dixie land, and orchestra provide the sounds and the video featured student films and a slide show of student art work from the start of the year. A celebration of sight and sound.
Just another wonderful evening with the talented students of Southwest High. Supported by friends, families and classmates the afternoon and evening was filled with Southwest Laker Stars.
