School Based Clinic Open House Oct. 27 7:30 - 3:30

HI
The school based clinic is getting ready to open on Nov 1st, and we are excited to meet you and show you the clinic.

A little background information- The Minneapolis Department of Health operates clinics in all Miinneapolis High Schools. These clinics are primary care clinics where students can be seen for a variety of health needs- sports physicals, sick visits, reproductive health, mental health, and nutrition. Students need to return a signed parent consent form in order to be seen in the clinic (these were sent home at the beginning of the school year). Insurance is billed when available. If the student doesn't have insurance we will try to assist with enrolling them in a program.

We are open 5 days a week during school hours and are located in the lower level of the East Building across from the East Gym. Students are welcome to come make appointments and will be seen in the same day when we have openings in the schedule. We do take referrals from teachers and staff. Along with medical care, we will provide mental health services, nutrition counseling, and classroom health education sessions.

We look forward to meeting and working with you all.

Come visit us on Wed Oct 27th (7:30- 3:30) for bagels and coffee to see the clinic. If that doesn't work, stop by any time.

Thanks for your excitement with the return of the clinic-
